Visiting the Malcolm Douglas Wilderness Wildlife Park is one of the highlights of the year for the students at Broome Residential College. Entering through the huge jaws of a giant saltwater crocodile, the students get a chance to get very up close and personal with some deadly predators. Their favorite parts are getting to hold the baby crocodiles and watching the feeding frenzy right before their eyes as huge crocs sometimes fight each other to get to the food. The students also get to see the cassowary, kangaroos, huge array of birds, dingos and many more animals. They also learn a lot about the farming of crocodiles and what goes into making all of the leather wallets and belts. The students end their day there by having ice-cream and cool drinks and talking about all the exciting things they saw.
